One of my favorite parts of being a floral designer is watching wedding trends evolve while helping couples create celebrations that feel timeless and uniquely their own. Every year brings fresh inspiration, and 2026 is proving to be a beautiful blend of modern elegance, organic design and personal expression.
As we continue designing weddings and events across the Emerald Coast, several trends are standing out in a big way this year.
One trend that continues to dominate wedding receptions is the use of bud vase tablescapes. Couples are embracing the understated beauty of individual stems arranged in collections of small vases rather than large, traditional centerpieces. The look feels intentional, romantic and sophisticated while maintaining the minimalist aesthetic many couples are seeking. Bud vases create visual interest across a table while allowing guests to easily connect and converse.
Another trend we’re seeing is a move away from the traditional floral arbor and toward statement floral columns. Large floral installations create a dramatic focal point while offering a more contemporary, architectural feel. Whether framing a ceremony or anchoring a reception space, floral columns make an impact without overwhelming the venue.
I’m also loving the continued shift toward organic, nature-inspired floral design. Today’s couples are less interested in perfectly symmetrical arrangements and more drawn to florals that feel gathered, textured and naturally beautiful. These designs often incorporate movement and unexpected elements that create depth and visual interest while still feeling refined and elegant.
If there’s one floral element making a statement this year, it’s hanging amaranthus. Its flowing texture adds drama and romance to bouquets, ceremony installations and reception designs.
We’re also seeing continued demand for calla lilies and other modern floral varieties with clean lines and sculptural forms. White-and-green palettes remain incredibly popular, offering a fresh, sophisticated look that complements nearly any setting.
But don’t get me wrong—modern neutrals aren’t the only trend here to stay.
Soft pastel palettes continue to be a favorite among brides, bringing romance and timeless beauty to wedding celebrations. We’re also seeing plenty of blue-toned palettes, especially along the Emerald Coast, where the colors naturally complement the water, sky and coastal surroundings. From soft blush and lavender to dusty blue and French blue, these color combinations continue to create stunning, memorable events.
While trends are always fun to follow, the most beautiful weddings are the ones that reflect the couple’s personality and story. Flowers should do more than decorate a space—they should help create an experience and leave guests with lasting memories.
The best part of 2026’s wedding trends is that there truly is something for everyone. Whether your style leans modern and minimalist, romantic and colorful or somewhere in between, today’s floral designs offer endless opportunities to create something uniquely your own.
And honestly? We love it … all of it.
