Emerald Coast REALTORS® and ECAR Foundation to Honor Combat-Wounded Veterans at 13th Annual Soldiers on the Water

The Emerald Coast Association of REALTORS® (ECAR), in partnership with the ECAR Foundation, local charter boat captains, sponsors and volunteers, will host the 13th Annual Soldiers on the Water on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026.

For 13 years, Soldiers on the Water has brought together the local community to honor combat-wounded veterans through a day of fishing, fellowship and appreciation. The event is made possible through the generosity of volunteer charter captains, community sponsors and countless volunteers who donate their time and resources each year.

The event is offered at no cost to participating combat-wounded veterans. Organizers expect more than 100 veterans to participate this year.

Veteran check-in begins at 7 a.m. behind Brotula’s Seafood House & Steamer. Charter boats will depart at 8 a.m. for a morning of world-class fishing.

Following the fishing excursion, return for an afternoon of fellowship, dinner and an awards presentation recognizing accomplishments such as the day’s biggest catch and most fish caught.

“Soldiers on the Water is one of the most meaningful traditions our Association has the privilege of hosting,” said representatives of the Emerald Coast Association of REALTORS®. “This event is about more than fishing—it’s about showing our appreciation, building connections, and giving combat-wounded veterans an opportunity to enjoy a day surrounded by people who are grateful for their service. We are incredibly thankful to the sponsors, charter captains, and volunteers whose generosity makes this event possible year after year.”

Soldiers on the Water is dedicated exclusively to combat-wounded veterans, providing a unique opportunity for fellowship, healing and recognition in a relaxed outdoor setting.
