Jonah’s parents, Cory and Christy Kirspel, expressed their gratitude for Seacoast Collegiate High School, saying, “Jonah’s experience at Seacoast has been truly exceptional. The dual enrollment program during his junior and senior years has allowed him more time to focus on his training. Academically, Jonah has thrived, and the opportunity to dual enroll for 60 credit hours before college is invaluable. We are immensely proud of Jonah. His commitment to the University of Florida is a dream come true, and we eagerly anticipate the next chapter of his journey.”
Coach Willie Parker, who has played a pivotal role in Jonah’s athletic development, shared his thoughts on Jonah’s achievements and commitment to the University of Florida. “Coaching Jonah has truly been an incredible experience. His dedication, work ethic, and natural talent set him apart as a standout athlete. Jonah’s accomplishment of two consecutive state championships is a testament to his unwavering commitment to excellence, and his decision to join the University of Florida is well-deserved. I am confident that Jonah will continue to make a significant impact at the collegiate level and his potential beyond UF is boundless. I foresee him leaving an indelible mark on the world of Track & Field.”
According to the NCAA, only about 2% of high school athletes receive some form of athletic scholarship to compete in college, making Jonah’s achievement even more remarkable. Seacoast Collegiate High School takes pride in nurturing well-rounded student-athletes and congratulates Jonah Kirspel on his outstanding accomplishments.
