Walton County Yard Sale May 13th
In an effort to rid the county of surplus items and free up space in county facilities, Walton County will be hosting a fixed-price yard sale on Saturday, May 13, from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the County Landfill located north of DeFuniak Springs off Highway 83 North.
The fixed price sale may include furniture, computers, monitors, collectibles, antiques, beach equipment, sporting goods, tools, construction items, and much more. This sale does not include vehicles. Items available at the Walton County Yard Sale include things the County divisions no longer use or need, as well as items that are collected through the County’s recycling program at the landfill.
The landfill gates will open at 6:30 AM to facilitate parking; however, entrance to the sale will not be allowed until 7:00 AM. The following rules are in place for this event:
- The County will not be holding a pre-sale viewing.
- Items must be paid for with Cash or local check.
- All items will be sold on a first-come-first-serve basis.
- All prices are marked and will not be negotiated.
- All items are purchased as is and contain no County liability or warranty.
- All purchased items must be removed from the grounds following purchase. (Assistance with loading will be provided).
- All sales will be FINAL.
- All items must be paid for at time of sale and cannot be held.
- Stockpiling of merchandise will not be permitted.

Market Shops Hosting Free Fitness Classes
The Market Shops in Miramar Beach is hosting free “Fitness on the Lawn” classes taking place weekdays from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, Monday-Friday during the months of May, June, and July. The classes are free to attend and open to individuals of all fitness levels. Classes include Pilates Stretch with Essential Oils by Susan Authement Dunnam, Pure Barre, Tabata Circuit with Scott Lassiter, Core Pilates with Lisa Turpin and Unique Flowing Fitness with Andi. No pre-registration is required, but guests are asked to bring their own mat!

Coastal Seniors Plans Workshop on Technology for Seniors
Coastal Seniors of South Walton will be hosting a workshop for seniors aged 55 and over on Tuesday May 16 at 2:00 PM at the Coastal Branch Library. Carl Lofstrom of the South Walton Computer Technology Club will be the guest speaker. This workshop will teach seniors about using computers and technology and about all the technology resources available in this area.
