A lifelong educator and familiar face to many locals, Dr. Diane Kelley, has become the new principal of Destin High School (DHS)! DHS announced the appointment that was effective July 1 and she’ll officially take the reins on August 2, 2024.
“After careful consideration of each principal candidate’s credentials and the needs of the Destin High community, Dr. Kelley was chosen to serve as principal. It was important to find an educator, who embodies our core values and shared goals, to lead Destin High into the next chapter,” said Donald “Willy” Williams, Executive Director of Destin High School. “Her dedication, vision and commitment to educational excellence align perfectly with our vision, mission and goals. We are confident that under her leadership, DHS will continue to thrive and excel.”
“I am honored to join the Destin High School community and to serve as its principal,” said Dr. Kelley. “I am committed to working together with our talented educators, dedicated staff and supportive families to create an environment where every student can succeed. Together, we will build on the school’s strong foundation and achieve new levels of academic excellence.”
