Point Washington Preserve was the perfect venue for the recent fundraiser “Gathering in the Garden” hosted by Be Generous. In October, about 150 guests enjoyed the beautiful, garden-themed setting. The site was as beautiful as the heart of the founder, Stephanie McMinn, and her purpose for the gathering. Be Generous Is a 501(c)(3) that is raising funds for The Yellow House project, which will provide temporary housing and a safe place of refuge for women rescued from human trafficking. The desperate need in this area is to provide a bridge from the street to long-term programs. A generous crowd donated $$68,000 at the event. Another $130,000 is needed to purchase and open the home.
