Charge and Chomp: Power Your Electric Vehicle Next to Fudpucker’s Gator Beach!

Electric vehicle drivers can “fill up” their EV batteries, and their appetites, the next time they head to the world famous Fudpucker’s Beachside Bar & Grill in Destin. The restaurant recently unveiled a new FPL EVolution® public fast charging station. The new site features four fast-charging ports that can power up most EVs in about a half hour, giving drivers a chance to rest easy while they grab a bite to eat or view an alligator show at the popular tourist spot. The latest FPL EVolution public fast charging location at Fudpucker’s joins several others that have opened in the region. Northwest Florida has seen a steady rise in EV drivers. Research group IHS Markit shows the region has seen a nearly 50% increase in the number of EV registrations in Bay, Walton, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa and Escambia counties, compared to last year.
