Tax season has arrived and the Destin Library has once again teamed up with AARP to provide free tax preparation services. You do not need to be a member of AARP to use the Tax-Aide program and there is no cost for this service.
AARP tax volunteers can prepare simple federal returns only (no state returns or federal returns with rental income). Appointments are available every Thursday beginning February 6 and ending on March 26 from 9 a.m. to 4:20 p.m. There are currently no appointments available in April. You will need to bring a copy of your 2018 tax return, a photo ID, and your Social Security card to the appointment.
