Serving as Destin’s City Manager is truly an honor and privilege that I do not take lightly. Over 15 years ago I began my career with the City of Destin and am proud to say I not only work in Destin, I, along with my immediate and many extended family members, live, work and play in Destin. This is my home; I am invested in and care deeply about Destin’s future. I want Destin to be a community where our children and grandchildren will want to stay when they grow up, where they establish their roots and call Destin their home.
We have a lot of things happening in our city and I feel very confident of our team whose number one mission is to serve our community. Each city department has its own unique mission. Our Code Compliance Department is made up of a great team who addresses compliance concerns, protects the public’s well-being and ensures our city’s quality of life. Their goal is educating our community about local ordinances so we can achieve voluntary compliance. Our code officers work seven days a week to serve you, and citizens can now report concerns after hours by calling 850.279.6658. We feel this is a great way for our code officers to address health, safety, zoning and sanitation codes in a timely manner. I encourage you to take a moment to speak with them when you see them around town. They also care a great deal for Destin and its residents. They have a wealth of knowledge and can certainly guide you through many issues you might encounter.
