Path of Grace is a long term, Faith Based, 12 step, recovery home for women who seek to escape the bondage of alcohol and drug addiction by redirecting their lives. Path of Grace currently operates three homes serving 27 program residents. The program also sustains one transitional home, providing housing for one of the program graduates and her four children. To assure that cost does not deter women who are anxious to change but cannot afford the fees charged by other recovery programs, Path of Grace asks only for a one-time fee of $800 that pays for all the residents’ living, counseling and related recovery expenses for the duration of the 9 to 24 month program.
Confirming reports of the drug and alcohol addiction epidemic in our area, program Managing Director Eddie Mansfield receives 3 to 4 calls per day from women desperate for recovery. To help meet the demand, Path of Grace is constructing 2 additional buildings on its Santa Rosa Beach property to accommodate 8 additional women, bringing the total to 35. With the new construction, the program is also doing some renovation of existing homes. To pay for the construction and renovation, Path of Grace is currently conducting a capital campaign to raise $1,000,000. We have raised $650,000 with $350,000 to go!
Path of Grace does not receive state or federal funding or government grants. Support for the operation of the program comes entirely from individual contributions and sales revenue from the two thrift stores operating in Destin and Miramar Beach. Mansfield said: “ We are grateful for the work that God is doing through the program and we need your financial help to expand that work.
