Join the Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation (MKAF), Destin Life Church (formerly Destin Assembly of God), Destin United Methodist Church and Village Church for an evening of spectacular holiday music. Known as the first holiday concert to kick off the Christmas season, anyone in the community is invited to participate in the Mattie Kelly Community Chorus. Below is information to join in the choir rehearsals:
Destin United Methodist Church (Choir Room – 6:30 p.m.) or Village Church (Choir Room – 7 p.m.) – Wednesdays, October-November.
Group Rehearsal – Saturday, November 16 at Village Church from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Final Rehearsal – Thursday, Dec. 5 – 6:30 p.m. at Village Church.
This annual tradition will feature soloists, Buddy Mullins, John Taylor and ensembles like New River Quartet and more.
Admission: New unwrapped child’s toys, games and stuffed animals to benefit Angel Tree and other ministries of the three presenting churches to families in need. MKAF CEO, Marcia Hull, stated “In the aftermath of Hurricane Michael last year, the overwhelming amount of toy donations were distributed among the presenting churches to support Angel Tree projects and other outreach ministries to children and families in Panama City and the surrounding devastated areas.”
