As we close out 2018, the talk of where to kick off the new year is all around us. Fancy party? Home on the couch? Celebration at noon with the family? With so many choices, we’ve detailed some of Destin’s biggest celebrations to help you decide where you’ll spend your New Year’s Eve.
Baytowne Countdown at The Village of Baytowne Wharf
You don’t want to miss The Village of Baytowne Wharf’s end-of-the-year celebration. First enjoy a family friendly evening from 6-8 p.m. with face painting, kids’ activities, and LIVE music on the Baytowne LIVE stage. The first fireworks display will happen at 8 p.m. Then stay to ring in the New Year and have an evening to remember, with a second fireworks display at midnight. Dance the night away with LIVE music until 1 a.m. featured on the Events Plaza Stage.
Cocktails & Confetti at Rum Runner’s Sandestin
Rum Runner’s Sandestin is ROCKIN’ you into 2019 with its Cocktails & Confetti party! A buffet will accompany the famous Dueling Piano show, and you’ll want to come early to grab a seat outside as Rum Runner’s boasts the best seats in the house to watch the Baytowne fireworks show. Tickets are $59 per person and include the private dinner, party favors and a champagne toast at midnight! Dinner is from 7-9 p.m. with live music from 8 p.m. – 2 a.m. Doors open to the public at 9 p.m. with a $20 cover charge. Reservations are required. LuLu’s Destin Noon Year’s Eve
Mark your calendars for LuLu’s Annual Noon Year’s Eve celebration just for kids on Monday, Dec. 31, at 10 a.m. This is a non-stop kid-friendly event for the whole family, with excitement around every corner as LuLu’s celebrates and rings in the New Year. There will be a sandcastle building contest, arts and crafts, inflatables, face painting, live music, and more on the sandy beach. So the kiddies can have their fun, countdown to Noon with kid-safe “fireworks” and a huge Beach Ball Drop.
New Year’s Eve Street Party at Harborwalk Village
Ring in 2019 at HarborWalk Village’s New Year’s Eve Street Party. Party on the water with two live bands, two fireworks shows and a ball drop over the Destin Harbor! Flash Flood Band starts at 7 p.m., followed by an 8 p.m. Fireworks show. Then Departure – A Journey Tribute Band will take the stage at 9:30 p.m. with a Ball Drop and fireworks over the water at midnight.
