Back by popular demand, Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation and the E.O. Wilson Biophilia Center join forces, once again, to really rock the summer! For grades 2nd through 8th, choose from two week-long summer camps exploring theatre, music, and nature, all while exploring the dynamic and engaging E. O. Wilson Biophilia Center!

This year’s theme is African Beats: world music and drumming paired with a “lion king-style” theatre review. Immersive experiences include hands-on drumming and songwriting classes with renowned percussionist Zig Wajler of “Hands on with Zig,” and a nationally acclaimed author, composer and music educator as seen on VH1’s Save the Music program; and theatre and creative writing with award-winning playwright and actress, Nancy Hasty, whose latest one-woman show was recently performed to all sold-out audiences in New York City; and dynamic hands-on nature activities featuring live animal ambassadors! A student showcase performance at the end of the week will feature African beats and a Lion King-style theatre performance.

• 1st Session: July 15-19
• 2nd Session: July 22-26

Last summer, the camps had a waiting list. So early registration is encouraged! To register, visit mattiekellyartsfoundation.org. To learn more, visit eowilsoncenter.org.
