Meet the Artists of 30A Artist Studios at Artwalk every first Friday of the month from 5-7pm237 Market St, Santa Rosa Beach

Local artists, Polli Youngbeck, Mary Redmann, Melissa Mercer Brown and Sarah Stewart have teamed up to create a working studio gallery space at 237 Market St.  30A Artist Studios, as it is known, is a place where one can come browse paintings, see artists at work or even take a class.  Each of these four artists has a different style of artistic expression and believe in community over competition. Join the artists for Artwalk each first Friday of the month from 5-7pm.

Polli Youngbeck has a degree in design from Auburn and spent two semesters abroad in Heidelberg, Germany and Salzburg, Austria studying art and painting. She has worked as a flight attendant, taught private art lessons and worked in advertising design as well. Polli has shown in galleries through the Southeast and has been a professional artist for over 40 years. She currently works as a commission and professional gallery artist and enjoys working with decorators. She enjoys acrylics and uses a palette knife as a signature part of her creations. She is also a seasonal henna artist here on the beach.  Polli says her work is inspired by God.

An artist for as long as she can remember, Mary Redmann finds inspiration for her abstract waterscapes and marbled creations from her travels, people, colors themselves, and mostly nature. She works primarily in two different media: resin and acrylics, utilizing a loose, fluid style that is representative of her love for the individuality that abstraction brings.

Melissa Mercer Brown lives on Scenic 30A in South Walton County, Florida, where her inspiration comes from the coastal landscapes, hammock vegetation, bayous and Gulf water horizons.  She often uses texture in her acrylic and oil paintings to give depth, interest and liveliness with a haze of impressiveness and yet capturing the quiet beauty of simplicity.

Originally from New York, Sarah Stewart has been blessed to call 30A home for nearly two decades. Always pushing her creative limits, she is working on three main creative pursuits: fine mixed media, hand illustrated seashells known as “She Shells,” and “Say Something,” her own line of biomorphically inspired yoga pants and positive affirmation t shirts. Sarah hosts private art lessons weekly at the warehouse studio. These are hands on classes in which students of various ages and ability levels explore a range of mixed media techniques and create their own work.
