As we approach the end of 2018, Destin Life has much to celebrate.

For starters, I’d like to congratulate our graphic designer Kim Harper, as well as our talented team of writers, contributing photographers, and our partners on five months of excellence.

This issue is packed with pages that, hopefully, will brighten your holiday season. See our cover article on the potential new Destin High School and how you can fit into the vision, and how FWBHS Leadership students are literally providing Christmas for families right here in our community. You’ll want to check out Sean Dietrich’s column on Christmas “magic,” how our community is coming together to help prevent suicide, IZ’s advice for protecting your “treasures,” checking out the “trends” and “treasures” from City Market, advice on activities to include in holiday planning for your children and the list goes on! We are so excited you’ve joined us as we’ve launched Destin Life and look forward to fostering connections, promoting your businesses, and providing local event, business, dining, music, arts and other information for your families all year long!

Check out our website at MyDestinLife.com. We also have a Facebook page, and appreciate you visiting, liking us and sharing us with your Facebook friends. Or you can email me (Publisher@MyDestinLife.com) with feedback, photos or story ideas.

As we enter this holiday season, my wish is that you delight in your family, friends and festivities, and reflect deeply on the true meaning of Christmas.
Peace and blessings, Lori Leath Smith.

Merry Christmas!
