Eucheeanna Old Community Center Receives Refurbishment Funding

Commissioner Cecilia A. Jones (R-District 2) today announced that the St. Joe Community Foundation has contributed $5,400 to fund needed improvements to the Eucheeanna Old Schoolhouse Community Center.

The funding will be used for the maintenance, refurbishment, and improvement of the historic facility, according to Sandy Jack Brown, president of the Eucheeanna Community Center.

Last week, Jones joined St. Joe Community Center executive Janet Greeno in presenting the donation.

“We are grateful to the St. Joe Community Foundation for their continued commitment to preserving Walton County’s history and for ensuring that residents in communities throughout our county have places to meet and gather,” Jones said. “As commissioner, one of my top priorities is to secure private funding for important projects, so that we can continue to reduce the burden on hardworking taxpayers. I am eager to see the improvements to the Eucheeanna Old Schoolhouse Community Center in the months and years to come.”
