In October, Destin Water Users, Inc. (DWU) was awarded a token of appreciation from the Army Reserve Aviation Command in recognition for their continued support of the U.S. Military.

As a company, DWU is committed to supporting and employing the nation’s veterans and active military living in the area. The presentation came from one of DWU’s long-tenured employees, Command Sergeant Major Judd Mooso, who during the ceremony expressed his gratitude and appreciation to fellow employees and management for their support and hard work when he was called to duty.

Mooso has been serving in the Army for 28 years and has been employed with DWU for more than 22 years where he serves as the Water Operations Superintendent and Safety Program Coordinator. After serving in the regular Army’s 10th Mountain Division and then the Louisiana Army National Guard, Mooso moved to Niceville with his family and joined the Florida Army National Guard in 1997. He then transferred to the U.S. Army Reserve in 2001. He currently splits his time between his civilian life at DWU and his military duties as a reserve soldier.
