Every year as part of City Government Week, Destin hosts an Open House for its residents. Departments and partners have informational tables, and food and drink are free to all who stop by.
“This year we had several hundred people enjoying the live music by Jones & Company and the awesome food cooked by Jim Shirah,” said Tamara Young, Public Information Director. “Since we’d never had live music before at the event, we made our theme ‘Music to Our Ears.’ People really got into the spirit of it and were so creative! It’s really all about the residents, and it’s a chance for us as City staff to say thanks and let them know what we have accomplished this year.”
