If you are considering purchasing a home in Florida, please make yourself aware of these homeowner insurance industry changes taking place. Requirements for upgrades to the structure of your home and the time frame for which they must be done, have changed. You could be facing repairs or replacements sooner than you would normally have anticipated. Contact a local insurance agent to get the most accurate information. Also, be aware that property taxes have increased, as of late, and will also affect your monthly mortgage payment.
