On Thursday, March 12, the Northwest Florida Coast Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) is hosting its fundraising event, Whose Wine Is It Anyway? A Blind Wine Event at Grand Boulevard in Miramar Beach. Bring yourself or your team of up to four and bring 4 bottles of red wine to play a game of Blind Wine! Winner takes the lot. Shelter House Purses with a Purpose March 26-28
Purses with a Purpose, a signature Shelter House event, returns to Grand Boulevard at Sandestin March 26-28, 2020. Now in its tenth year, Purses with a Purpose has become a must-attend annual shopping experience for ladies across the Emerald Coast. Shoppers at Purses with a Purpose have the opportunity to select from hundreds of new and gently used purses, wallets and accessories up for sale or auction. Handbags from designers including Tory Burch, Michael Kors, Kate Spade, Coach and more will be available for purchase.

St. Paddy’s Day Bash
Corpus Christi Catholic Church is again planning an evening to celebrate St. Paddy’s Day with good food, great entertainment and live music with a sing-along on Saturday, March 14, from 5:30 to 9 p.m. A traditional Irish Dinner of Corn Beef, cabbage, potatoes, vegetable, salad and dessert will be the fare for the evening. The Carpenter Academy of Irish Dance will provide lively entertainment. Beverages to include wine and beer are included in the price of the dinner—$15.00 per person. Call 850-654-5422 weekdays between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the homeless in Destin as well as other community projects.

Dodgeball
Beginning Thursday, April 2, the Destin Community Center will host open Dodgeball on Thursday nights from 6 to 8 p.m. Children ages 8 to 14 are welcome to participate in a night filled with friends, fun and dodgeball! The fee is $3/session for non-residents and $2/session for Destin residents. A waiver will be required for each child.

DCWAF Cheers to 15 Years!
Destin-Charity Wine Auction-6Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation (DCWAF) will host its 15th Anniversary Auction April 24-26 in conjunction with the South Walton Beaches Wine and Food Festival in Grand Boulevard. Parkside at Henderson Beach Resort Officially Breaks Ground
Dunavant Enterprises and the Premier Property Group, project listing agent, held an official “groundbreaking” ceremony in February for Parkside, the latest expansion of the award-winning Henderson Beach Resort. Parkside will offer its residents an elevated style of condominium living through access to The Henderson’s impressive array of amenities and services including multiple on-site dining options, a world-class spa, concierge, valet, in-room and poolside dining, daily cleaning, courtesy shuttles and beach chair and umbrella service. The $22.5 million first phase of Parkside is also expected to create or support over 100 construction-related jobs in the community. Phase one is expected to be completed in 16 months and ready to move in for the 2021 summer season.
