EMERALD COAST THEATRE COMPANY PRESENTS “AESOP’S FABLES”

AS PART OF ITS THEATRE FOR YOUNG AUDIENCES (TYA) PROGRAM

Emerald Coast Theatre Company (ECTC) presents “Aesop’s Fables,” the final Professional Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) production of its 5th anniversary season. “Aesop’s Fables” will be staged on Saturdays at 10 a.m. in ECTC’s performance space located upstairs at 560 Grand Boulevard in Miramar Beach. Public performances are April 7 & 14. Tickets are $10 per person. Children age 3 and under are free. Proceeds benefit ECTC and its Theatre Education programs. A fable is a very short story with a moral, or a lesson to teach. Aesop was a Greek storyteller credited with a number of fables now collectively known as Aesop’s Fables.

In ECTC’s production Wolfie, Syd, Barry and Harriet invite you into their magical world where anything is possible when you use your imagination. Whether it’s “The Tortoise And The Hare” or “The Boy Who Cried Wolf,” everyone knows at least one of Aesop’s great Fables. In this spellbinding production, storytellers use song, dance and drama to bring these famous fables to life. “Literature coming to life on stage, what could be more exciting, inspiring and wonderful?” asks Emerald Coast Theatre Company Producing Artistic Director Nathanael Fisher.

ECTC’s TYA program showcases professional actors performing productions especially selected for young audience members. “Aesop’s Fables” is intended for ages 6 and up. ECTC is a non-profit professional theater company founded by Nathanael Fisher, MFA, and his wife, Anna, in 2012 with a mission to enrich and entertain the Emerald Coast community through professional and educational theater.
