Emerald Coast Theatre Company expands 5th Annual Children’s “Summer on Stage” Theatre Camp Series, June 5-July 29
12 Summer Theater Offerings for Local Kids from Preschool to High School with Outreach Locations in Okaloosa, Walton and Bay Counties
Emerald Coast Theatre Company (ECTC) has a dozen different ways to celebrate summer on the Northwest Florida Gulf Coast. A not-for-profit professional theater company founded in Miramar Beach, Florida in 2012, ECTC has launched its 2017 summer theater camps series, expanded to 12 offerings and enabling it to reach even more kids of all ages.
“The success of our educational outreach program has clearly shown that Emerald Coast kids have been bitten by the theater bug,” said ECTC producing artistic director Nathanael Fisher. “We’re excited to build on this momentum with a range of exciting theater camps in various locations so children from all across Northwest Florida may experience the joy of theater.”
ECTC’s fifth annual children’s theater summer series will feature 12 different education classes/workshops. Dates and locations are as follows:
ECTC’s Summer On Stage offers theater camps for ages 4 through high school. “Little Rascals” is a one-week half-day camp for ages 4-6. One-week full-day camps include Camp Showtime and the production camp of Treasure Island for grades 2-8. Disney’s Cinderella Kids is the three-week full-day musical theater camp. Also offered are workshops of Theatre for Young Audiences, So You Want to do Shakespeare, and The Freedom of Improvisation for grades 6-12.
ECTC Camps run different weeks from June 5 through July 29. Tuition is from $130 per person for “Little Rascals” to $425 for the Musical Theatre Camp, plus a $25 registration fee. Payment plans, military, sibling, and multi-camp discounts and scholarships are available. Register before May 1, 2017 and save $20 per child!
“Experience and training in theater can improve students’ communication, critical thinking, and team-based skills,” Fisher said. “Our Summer Theatre Camp is the perfect place to learn with friends old and new while having fun.”

Little Rascals: Lion King Theme, Treasure Island, Camp Showtime, Disney’s Cinderella Kids Musical Theater Camp (3rd through 9th grade), Theatre for Young Audiences Workshop, So You Wanna Do Shakespeare? — Middle/High School Workshop, and The Freedom of Improvisation Middle School/High School Workshop
