Valentine’s Day, a time to express LOVE – So, love your people AND your home—and not just on February 14th. As a homeowner, you’ve made a significant investment. You need to take care of it and love on it with consistent maintenance and improvements. Doing so consistently will help build up equity and take the pain out of doing a LOT of maintenance at one time when you decide to sell. Keep up with both interior and exterior maintenance…landscaping, painting, your roof, pool, decks, sidewalks etc. Having a calendar of regular maintenance will save you money and time if you do a little bit throughout the year. Plan and save for interior projects and upgrades. Keep lovin’ on your home and it will love you back! You and your family feel happy and comfortable living there. And, when you’re ready to sell, it will be move-in ready and attractive to the next buyer. It’s painful to do a bunch of upgrades just to get it ready to sell (been there, done that) and not enjoy it yourself first! Happy Valentine’s Day, Home!
Mardi Gras! Masks, Beads, Parades…Let the Good Times Roll! The last few years were REALLY hot times in real estate; things were rolling good, weren’t they? Mortgage interest rates were low, selling prices were high, lots of peeps moving to Florida. Woo Hoo! Then the floats seemed to stop. Au contraire, mon frere! (on the contrary my, brother in French). Don’t let the masks of idle chit chat fool you! Prices are still good! Buyers and Sellers are still buying and selling! And interest rates are actually at the 40-year norm. So, keep those floats rolling! If you want or need to sell or buy, talk to a professional real estate agent (like me), so you can make good, informed decisions! By the way, Interest rates will drop and you can refinance. Laissez le bon temps rouler!
Football! Superbowl! The BIG game is just around the corner with the Eagles vs. the Chiefs! Take care of your home—that’s a touchdown! Do a little bit of maintenance on a continual basis; those are field goals that get your home score higher. Don’t listen to the naysayers on the other side; they’re wearing a different uniform and mask! Practice good homeowner skills and you’ll win the real estate game! Keep an Eagle eye on your investment and you’ll lead your tribe in the right direction as the Chief! Real estate – It’s your move, it’s my game. Let me help you win!
