The Northwest Florida Ballet will stage two free outdoor community performances at Grand Boulevard and the Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation in June. The series includes NFB’s return to Grand Boulevard at Sandestin’s Grand Park on Saturday, June 18, at 7:30 p.m. for Ballet at Twilight. The second performance will take place at the Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation on Saturday, June 25, at 7:30 p.m. for Ballet Under the Stars.
Both productions feature the Northwest Florida Ballet company and international guest artists in a unique mixed repertoire program.
Ballet at Twilight and Ballet Under the Stars will also include contemporary works choreographed by NFB Artistic Director Todd Eric Allen and Lindsey Brewer and Butler University’s Camille Loftis. The programs conclude with the audience-favorite Jazz Swing, which expresses the joy of classical dancing to the rhythm of Jazz, choreographed by Fernando Bujones with music by Louis Prima and Eddy Higgins.
