For the first time ever, Destin has a community resource deputy. You might have already seen Tim Trowbridge around town, and you’ll be seeing a lot more of him. The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office chose him to be part of a new community policing program where deputies partner with us and those in our community to help solve community problems. “Destin is one of our partners in law enforcement. We provide public service to them, and public safety to them,” Sheriff Eric Aden said in a YouTube video about the program. “It’s another nugget or tool in our chest that we can use toward building relationships and maybe helping solve some additional crime down there.”
