A ribbon cutting ceremony attended by many including the Destin, Ft. Walton Beach, and Walton Chambers of Commerce, celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Center for Cosmetic & Family Dentistry. Founder Dr. Dennis Lichorwic explained, “This expansion has allowed us to take better care of our patients, to be more flexible for them, and live out our core value of delivering the best quality dentistry in a warm, comfortable atmosphere.”
The Center for Cosmetic & Family Dentistry offers dentistry, full-mouth rehabilitation, cosmetic restoration, implant surgery, Zoom! Teeth Whitening, and Invisalign. The readers of VIP Destin Magazine just voted the practice “Best in Destin Cosmetic Dentist” for the ninth time. They’ve come a long way from a small dental practice on the Destin Harbor back in 1999, specifically now known as “Where the South Comes for Smiles.”
Dr. Lichorwic goes on to say, “Our goal is to exceed our patient expectations at every level. We will continually raise the standard of our dental services to become and maintain ourselves as leaders in our community and country.” He goes on to further explain that he was trained by the likes of Disney and the Ritz Carlton, and having had that background, he enjoys giving people life-changing service that they don’t always expect. He says, “It’s not about the crown or the filling; instead it’s about exceeding their expectations with award winning customer service.”
And how does that work exactly? “We provide a pleasant experience for our dental clients, and use every high tech gadget and gizmo out there,” Dr. Lichorwic explains. With everything from a computer that actually numbs the patient without a syringe, to nitrous (laughing gas) in every room, and other sedation options, relaxation dentistry is the way of the future. Another exciting treatment is prep-less veneers, (which means no drilling on patients’ teeth while achieving strong aesthetic results.) It sounds like tech is alive and well in The Center for Cosmetic and Family Dentistry.
And what does the future hold? With so many people suffering from sleep deprivation and sleep apnea, Dr. Lichorwic says they’ve been able to help their patients with about 15 different appliances including special retainers that hold their airways open, and that in some cases, those can replace the awkward and sometimes scary CPAP masks. And now, with the expansion of the Destin office, many more patients can be serviced than ever before.
