Covering 7 Countries, 15 Cities, 23 days, 37,290 miles (a lap and a half around the world) and of course, some mild jet lag, Rockwell Tharp is back and ready to deliver new fashion to The Emerald Coast! While their flagship store is showcased in the heart of Sandestin, expanding Rockwell Tharp, still reaches to the far ends of the world.

In September, owners and designers, Kristi Rockwell and Cameron Tharp received a very special invitation by the Italian Government to be one of 3 delegates to represent the United States at Milan Fashion Week in Milan, Italy. “It was an honor, a privilege and a blessing to be transported into the center of where so much of the fashion in the world begins, while also proudly representing the United States,” said co-owner, Cameron Tharp.

Before Rockwell Tharp embarked on the journey to Italy, as they do 2-3 times a year, they hit the plane running-first stop, Tokyo! And then on to some of their design factories in Thailand and Vietnam, where they spent 18 hour days working tirelessly on some brand new collections that they are now ready to unveil to the Gulf Coast!

“Our goal is to provide our Ladies here on the coast exclusive designs that are fun and classy. Our inner motivation stems from the desire to create very special items for Ladies that they will not find everywhere else. We love unique and are inspired by cultures and trends from around the world,” excitedly explained, owner and designer, Kristi Rockwell.
Rockwell Tharp’s trip was packed with many adventures, as always. “There is never a dull trip. We meet the most interesting people and wonderful businesses,” said Tharp. “One particularly interesting adventure this year, was when we showed up to the airport and asked if we were Rockwell Tharp – we said yes, we are. And the ladies informed us that they had switched our flight details and we would be flying on the Royal VIP Flight with the Prime Minister, his wife, his Chief of Staff, Cabinet, Foreign Ministers, secret service, security detail and press corp,” continued Tharp. “We were certainly amazed and a bit shocked, honestly. It was quite an experience that encompassed boarding and deplaning from the front of the aircraft down the stairs layered with an ornate red carpet,” said Cameron. “We’re just two normal down to earth people trying to do cool things – we were kind of at a loss for words,” joked Cameron.

Their design trip concluded with a fun intimate photo shoot in Santorini, Greece before launching off from short stints in London and Paris for the trip back home. “We have found a few magical places around the world that inspire and rejuvenate us. Santorini is one of them. We were reminded that God is big and he is control of everything we do. Without our faith in God and our beautiful customers, we would not be where we are today and we know it,” agreed Rockwell and Tharp, with strong conviction.

“We work hard, we are passionate, we care and we love sharing fashion, faith and life with others,” said Cameron. We love bringing back styles and trends for our ladies that are about to be very popular in the United States.” Although, Rockwell Tharp is very well known around the country for their boots, shoes and handbags, they are very excited to announce this year that they are officially launching Rockwell Tharp Apparel to complement their beautiful boots. This project has quietly been in the works for over a year and it has finally come to fruition. They are ready. And the store in Sandestin will be the very first location to see, try on and purchase these items.

“We are proud to call Sandestin our home and we are extremely excited to have this be the first place to introduce the new apparel lines,” said Cameron. This is quite special for Sandestin. The boutique located in the center of The Village of Baytowne Wharf, inside of Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort is the only store in which you can see the whole collection in one single place. All are welcome here. Come by and experience Rockwell Tharp.
