Dog-Harmony has the month packed with events, and money raised will support the nonprofit’s pups and programs.
“Rock and Wag” with Cadillac Willy Oct. 9 from 5-8 p.m. at Dog-Harmony headquarters, 237 Market Street, Santa Rosa Beach, off Walton County Road 393 North, sponsored by Pratt Aycock and Centennial Bank.
Jam out and dance to Cadillac Willy, a Destin-based classic rock band that’s been a local favorite for years. The night will include a silent auction, family games and light bites. Tickets, available on Dog-Harmony’s website, are $25 each and include two drinks. The event is limited to 75 people.
Cars & Cubanos Oct.19 from 11-2 p.m., parking at 34990 Emerald Coast Parkway, Destin (across from Destin Commons).
Ogle gorgeous rides shown by Emerald Coast Exotic Cars and other enthusiasts. Enjoy lechón, a roasted suckling pig, and other Latin Caribbean delicacies for sale by event host Café Rico. Capture the family fun at the Lumi Pod photo booth. Stop by Dog-Harmony’s booth to buy their all-natural, yummy dog treats. Admission is free.
Barktoberfest Oct. 24 from 5-7 p.m., Grand Park in Grand Boulevard at Sandestin, 495 Grand Boulevard, Miramar Beach. Admission is free.
Dress in your fetching Howl-o-ween best for this annual doggie social that includes canine trick-or-treat, light bites, drinks and chance drawings. Judging for best “Pet & Parent Matching Costume” begins at 6:30 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for first and second place in two dog weight categories: 35 pounds or more, and less than 35 pounds.
