Another decade in the books! 2019 rolls to a close and the talk of where to kick off the new year is all around us. Fancy party? Home on the couch? Celebration at noon with the family? With so many choices, we’ve detailed some of Destin’s largest celebrations to help you decide where to spend your New Year’s Eve.
Baytowne Countdown at The Village of Baytowne Wharf
You don’t want to miss The Village of Baytowne Wharf’s end-of-the-year celebration. First enjoy a family friendly evening from 6-8 p.m. with face painting, kids activities, and live music on the Baytowne LIVE stage. The first fireworks display will happen at 8 p.m. Then stay to ring in the New Year and have an evening to remember, with a second fireworks displays at midnight. Dance the night away with live music until 1 a.m., featured on the Events Plaza Stage.
Fudpucker’s Noon Years Eve
This kid-friendly event is a perfect way to celebrate with the whole family! The party begins at 10 a.m. on the big deck at Fudpucker’s in Destin. This event is FREE to attend and includes kid-friendly activities, dancing, face painting, and more. Stay for a balloon drop at noon to celebrate the new year. Live alligators will also be available to hold and/or feed at Gator Beach.
Five Parties at Harborwalk Village
Something new for 2020 – Harborwalk Village is hosting Five Parties on the Harbor! The party kicks off with music on the main stage by Flash Flood at 7 p.m., followed by Dave McCoy and the Resolutions at 9:30 p.m. Celebrate with double fireworks at 8 p.m. and midnight; and along the Harbor the parties will kick off at 10 p.m. with karaoke at Harry T’s Lighthouse, a 1999 party at Coyote Ugly, Neon & Retro DJ at Jackacuda’s Seafood and a Masquerade Party at Margaritaville. All parties are FREE to attend and parking is free.
Rockin’ New Year’s Event at Emerald Grande
Ring in the New Year GRANDE style at Emerald Grande’s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve! Enjoy cocktail hour, two firework shows on the Harbor, a four-course meal and live music by Nate Sexton and the Midnight Kiss. Tickets are $125 per person and must be purchased in advance.
LuLu’s Destin Noon Years Eve
Mark your calendars for LuLu’s Annual Noon Year’s Eve celebration for kids and adults on Tuesday, December 31 at 10 a.m. This is a non-stop kid-friendly event for the whole family, with excitement around every corner as LuLu’s celebrates and rings in the New Year. Crafts, Kid Safe Fireworks (bubble wrap), and a Kids Magic Show are only the tip of the iceberg. When the clock strikes NOON there will be a Beach Ball Drop. Hundreds of colorful beach balls will flood LuLu’s Beach, but the excitement doesn’t stop there. Enjoy face painting, balloon animals, Captain Davy & His Pirate Crew, an inflatable slide, and more.
SunQuest Cruises’ Destin New Year’s Eve Cruise
Dine. Dance. Cruise! Ring in 2020 in style aboard the 125’ Solaris Yacht. Enjoy a five course dinner and dance under the moonlight with live entertainment, party favors, and an incredible fireworks display. Titans of Rock and Casino Night at Village Door Music Hall
