Amazing Lash Studio Opens in Destin
Amazing Lash Studio has opened its newest Destin location in the Shoppes at Paradise Isle located at 34940 Emerald Coast Pkwy, Suite 108. Independently owned and operated by Scottsdale, Ariz. native, Mary Frances Mullins, the studio invites the community for its Grand Opening on Thursday, July 25, 2019. From 4-6 p.m., there will be light bites and refreshments as well as lash demonstrations. A tri-chamber ribbon cutting ceremony will also take place with the Destin, Greater Fort Walton Beach and Walton Area Chambers of Commerce.

Hebert’s Specialty Meats Opens Satellite Location
The Market Shops, located at the entrance to Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort, welcomes Hebert’s Specialty Meats. Owned and operated by true Cajun, Walter Hidalgo along with partners Sean and Kelli Louvierre, Hebert’s opened the first Emerald Coast location in June 2018 in Destin. Hidalgo’s long-time experience as an entrepreneur and restaurant owner helped prepare him to bring Hebert’s to the Destin area and beyond. “In the next couple of years, I see us expanding our reach from Orange Beach, Ala., all the way to Panama City.” Hebert’s Specialty Meats originally opened in 1984 in Maurice, La. Destin Launches Nextdoor to Boost Neighborhood Communication
The City of Destin is now partnering with Nextdoor, a private, social network for neighborhoods to share information ranging from public safety, community events, lost pets, and other items of interest. This will allow the city to communicate initiatives and share information with specific neighborhoods and residents. Each neighborhood has its own private Nextdoor neighborhood website accessible only to verified residents. Neighborhoods establish and self-manage their own Nextdoor website and the City of Destin will not be able to access residents’ websites, contact information or content. Independence Day Bike Parade
The City of Destin will be hosting a Family Independence Day Celebration and Bike parade for children 14 and under at Morgan’s Sport Center on Tuesday, July 2 at 4:30 p.m. (bike parade at 5:30 p.m.), with registration beginning at 4:45 p.m. The event is free to the public.
