Calling all artists! The founding executive board of Destin High School (DHS), invites any Destin area student, parent, grandparent or supporter, to submit a logo design, school colors and mascot suggestion for our community’s new high school!
The rules are simple…
Prizes:
The winning design in each of the 3 categories—logo, school colors and mascot suggestions—will become property of Destin High School and will be used as inspiration to create the high school’s official look on school items. In addition, the winners’ original design will be emblazoned on the first official DHS T-shirt. The 3 winning entries for 1. Logo Design, 2. School Colors 3. Mascot will each receive a $150. cash prize.
Fees:
Current Okaloosa County Students under age 18, may submit 1 entry in any one of the 3 categories, at no cost. Additional entries may be submitted with payment of a $10.00 entry fee per design. Parents, supporters and others may submit designs with payment of a $20.00 fee per entry, per category.
Deadline, Download and Method of Payment:
High School designs must be postmarked by Aug. 1, 2019, or emailed to: info@destinhighschool.com and paid via PayPal by August 1, 2019 at midnight.
Please visit Destin High School on Facebook, download and complete the “Logo Design Contest Entry Form,” and mail with design(s) and check/money order to the address listed on the form. If emailing, include the entry form and a screen shot of your payment to Destin High School, Inc. via PayPal.
Come up with a logo, school colors, a mascot – or all three! Make it — simple, creative and original — to identify the spirit, look and feel of Destin High School.
Your logo design entry must incorporate the words: Destin High School or DHS and may include est. 2020. The mascot and school colors entries, should include a description or reason why your entry is meaningful to the area, students and school. Other than the artist’s signature, no other text may appear.
Judging will be based on originality, design quality, and visual impact as it relates to the high school and Destin. Entries become the sole property of Destin High School and will not be returned. The board reserves the right to modify the design to meet graphic requirements.
Entries must be 8-1/2″ x 11″ in size (Vertical Format) in black and white only with no gradation/shading.
The following information must appear on the reverse side of each design submission:
• student’s/submitter’s name
• school, year of graduation
• home address, city, state, zip code
• home phone number
• name of a teacher at your current school, if applicable
• signed statement certifying the originality of the submitted work
