New supporters! “Kiwanis Club of Destin’s mission says it all: a group of global and local volunteers dedicated to improving the world, one child and one community at a time,” is truly admirable! It’s also a mission close to the heart of why a group of Destin parents, grandparents and community activists joined together to open a local high school.
Kiwanis leaders invited the executive board of Destin High School to present its mission and progress to their group. Kiwanis members also had the opportunity to share ideas and ask questions about DHS. It was a fantastic meeting with a wonderful group of supportive community leaders. Kiwanis Club of Destin gives out a college scholarship, to a local high schooler each year and provides treats to Destin Middle School and Destin Elementary School teachers during Teacher Appreciation, each year. This group truly cares about education and our local students. Great things are happening in our community.

The community’s time, talent and financial support are needed as the Board and community move ahead to shape the future tuition-free public charter high school.
